Havelock is called the Green Mussel Capital of The World and is also known as the Gate way to The Sounds as it is at the head of the Pelorus Sounds and close to the Queen Charlotte Sounds. Havelock is a very central location to both the Blenheim and Nelson wine trails offering good accommodation for these attractions in the way of Home stays, luxury accommodation, motels, Hotel, Backpackers, Holiday Homes, bed & Breakfast accommodation, and camping grounds.
